McPhee, John (Angus)
(n. 8 mar. 1931, Princeton, N.J., EE.UU.).

Periodista y escritor estadounidense. Estudió en la Universidad de Princeton. Después de trabajar como director asociado en Time (1957–64), comenzó a escribir en el The New Yorker en 1965. Sus libros y ensayos cubren una gran variedad de temas. Su primer libro fue sobre Bill Bradley; también ha escrito sobre lugares como Nueva Jersey, Alaska, el oeste estadounidense (varios libros) y Suiza; otros temas que ha tratado son la industria de los cítricos, la ingenería aeronáutica, la canoa de corteza de abedul y sobre el terrorismo nuclear. Desde 1975 dicta clases de periodismo en la Universidad de Princeton. Entre sus últimos trabajos sobresale Annals of the Former World [Anales del mundo de antaño] (1998, Premio Pulitzer).
